We screened properties for pet friendly and this listing came up every time, but we got a call from the owner the first morning telling us they were not pet friendly. The did refund us for one night of the 2 we planned to stay.
The property is in a very nice part of Newburgh. When you pull up to the property there are 15cars parked around the yard that aren’t being used, 7 are covered and one is a delivery truck and a limo. There are lots of bicycles not in use and many charcoal grills. The house on the outside clearly needs repairs, there is plastic sheeting covering the front of the house. We were told that they are doing repairs, but no work happened while we were there on a weekday.
The apartment its self is through a non functioning back door which is left open and up a wooden set of stairs with carpeting. You enter one of the doors at the top of the stairs. There is no deadbolt on the door, just a regular bathroom door handle that locks.
The inside of the apartment is as advertised. It’s very dated with probably original kitchen and bathroom fixtures. No dishwasher. Plenty of items to use for cooking. Room AC units were not on when we arrived, but did work to cool off the apartment. It was very spacious.
