I spent a week here and can’t wait to return. The location was dauntingly remote looking at a map. But anywhere worth going to on this side of the island requires driving anyway. The walkable nude beach was a big highlight. The hot tub and outdoor shower was also a great touch.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel. The room was phenomenal— from the decor to the amenities to the view! The breakfast prepared by Chef Joseph every morning was delicious, and was the perfect beginning for every day. It was fresh and tasty. The Friday night dinner was also prepared with so much thought and intention, each plate was so yummy and presented beautifully. We also loved the hot tub, it was a nice way to end our evening after exploring Hawai’i. Next time in town I’ll be back!

Really easy check in. Accommodated a dietary request without any issue. Breakfast was great and on time. Really close and convenient to the national park.

Fantastic location with very nice and helpful owners. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cottage here. Highly recommended.

Our first time in Hawai’i, and this place was one of the highlights of our trip. Surrounded by lush forest and secluded, it was the perfect getaway. The central location on the island allows for east access to everywhere. We will definitely be talking about/recommending the volcano mist cottage to others.
