This cozy get-away (1 couple, 2 couples, or small family) offers the best lake views on the street from a first-floor deck and a 2nd-floor master bedroom balcony. This time of year, the bald eagles still launch out over the lake and the water is wildly spectacular. The home is located in a small lakeside residential community - 4 miles from downtown North East. Private neighborhood lake access is only a couple 100 yards away. The home features a large master bedroom (king-sized bed and sitting area), a second small bedroom with 2 twin beds that can also be placed together as a full, a well-equipped kitchen with new appliances and cookware, and upstairs and downstairs full bathrooms.

Visit the many local wineries in minutes, and there is plenty else to do nearby, including antiquing, biking, fishing, golf, shopping, skiing and enjoying small-town amenities in North East. Have breakfast at Butch’s Diner; grab coffee and snacks at the Bean; walk around Gibson Park and the Main Street Shops; and have a delicious dinner at the Skunk & Goat.

Most areas of Erie are a short 25-minute drive. Catch a show at the Warner theater or a hockey game at the Erie Insurance Arena. Peak 'n Peak and Findley Lake are 30-minutes away for skiing and golf. The Chautauqua Institution and Lake are reached in 40 minutes, as is beautiful Presque Isle State Park and the Tom Ridge Environmental Center.

You will be about an hour and a half from Buffalo, and under 2 hours to Niagara Falls, Canada; 2 hours 15 minutes from Pittsburgh; and 1 hour and 45 minutes from the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH.

Beauty in the Lake

We loved our stay on Lake Erie. The house was perfect in EVERY way. The house is perfectly maintained and offered anything you might need to cook a gourmet meal. This area offers so much to do. We will plan another trip for next June and will stay here for sure.

Absolutely loved our stay. The owner thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and convenient. The little things mean a lot to us, like having a space for glasses and meds on each side of the bed, space in the bathroom for your toiletries, body wash and shampoo provided, well stocked kitchen, a large table to have a family dinner and game night. Playing "Clue" was a favorite of the kids. Mine was watching the sunset and stars at night out the huge windows overlooking the lake.

Stunning views of the lake

We had another lovely stay at this beautiful house on the lake! The view of the lake from the primary bedroom is our favorite. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, we enjoyed our streaming services on the large TV, and watched the sunset from the deck. It was a wonderful, relaxing getaway.

Great northeast getaway

Spent alot of our time at presque isle, During our stay it was an awesome experience watching the 4 Bald Eagles land in the tree 20 feet from the back deck every day. Overall a great place to stay, absolute would stay there again!!!

Great lakefront house with no detail forgotten

Amazing views with ample space. No detail forgotten in the design and housewares. Kitchen is well stocked. Comfortable beds. Watched the bald eagle next door devour his lunch. A perfect getaway with amazing accommodations.

God’s Creation and Creaure Comforts

The location was beautiful with the view of the lake being visible from inside the house. The owners provided every creature comfort to make our stay more enjoyable. We enjoyed the unique pieces of furniture and historical framed art and photographs on the walls. Thank you and God Bless You!

Winter getaway at the lake

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful house! The views of the frozen lake were amazing. Thanks to Melissa for clearing the snow from the walk before we got there! We cooked a couple meals and the kitchen had everything we needed. This was our 2nd visit and we will be back! Highly recommend!

Amazing property amazing owners

Absolutely perfect home for a couple weekends getaway. Cozy with a fantastic view of the lake from the master bedroom. Owners could not have put more care into their home, very clean, quality appliances, fast Internet and thought into every little detail. Everything was provide from a fully stocked kitchen, blankets in the living room, large screen TV, coffee tea, laundry and bath supplies all the way through to wrapped toothbrushes and paste in case you forgot. We've never stayed somewhere the owners out this much care and thought into their guests happiness and satisfaction. They've set a high bar and we will definitely be back next year.

Ethan hosted me for a few days during the eclipse in 2024. The house was very clean, the views are just as pictured, and the kitchen was well-stocked with tools and utensils. I would absolutely stay here again.

Wonderful weekend no n Lake Erie

Beautiful cottage with everything you could want and need in the kitchen. Spent many hours on the deck looking out on the lake and watching eagles fly over head. Hope to return in the fall to see the foliage.

Wonderful home! Amazing views! Amenities were the best of any vacation home I have ever stayed in. The thoughtful extras around the house were wonderful. My family had a wonderful time. Perfect Getaway Dpot

A truly lovely home in a perfect location for lazing, watching eagles dive for fish, and meandering through vineyard country and the friendly towns of North East and Erie. Ethan and his local mgr were perfect hosts and a snafu with the door code was quickly resolved. The house was spotless, well equipped, and the bed is the best we've ever slept in in over 30 VRBO stays. There are 1-3 steps here and there so mobility- or vision-challenged folks want to be careful. Kitchen is large enough for two to work easily and has everything you could need to prep a meal. Highest recommendation. I'd give the house six stars if I could.

Great getaway for our anniversary

Property is as described but even better in person. Unique architecture, open rooms, nice decor (comfortable/ cozy and updated), great views from multiple rooms. Great deck with seating area overlooking lake. Kitchen fully equipped w/ everything we needed. Very clean. Extra blankets for living room and bedroom which was nice on the cold rainy days. Thoughtful details like containers of qtips and other small toiletries in the bathrooms were really nice. Plenty of paper products. Lots of attention to detail. Master bedroom was absolutely beautiful w/ large vaulted ceiling, sitting area, double closets, comfortable king bed and amazing views of the lake. I woke up one morning to an Eagle sitting in the tree outside. Ethan was great and responsive to any questions we had and Melissa was wonderful too. Thanks for making our stay memorable! Highly recommend.

Very nice home with great accomodations. Good directions and easy instructions to get in . I woukd have liked better lake access, but the deck and kitchen were outstanding. My reccomedation, bring a sleep mask if you want to sleep later than 5:30.

The biggest plus side for this house is the hosts, they were so kind, caring, and accommodating to our family. Also very responsive, everytime I messaged they replied in less than 5 minutes. The house itself is so cozy and welcoming and the views from the back deck are amazing! I was a little disappointed when we arrived to find there was no water access at the house but we discovered after the first day that there is a neighborhood access point about 5 houses down. We were able to easily drive our car there and walk down the path to the water. The path is a little steep but very manageable, my almost 70 year old parents had no issues with it. Everytime we went over there was no one there and we had the place to ourselves, lots of room to swim or boat, and my husband caught a massive catfish in the water. I would suggest curtains or blinds be added to the upstairs bedroom because it gets so bright and hot in there during the day, was a little difficult for my baby to take afternoon naps as well because it was so bright. The only major issue we had during our stay was that the A/C quit working after about a day and a half. I contacted the host and he came over immediately to look at it. It could not be fixed during our stay but the host was genuinely sorry about it and offered to buy us dinner and credited us a night's stay for the inconvenience without us even asking for anything. Overall we enjoyed our stay and were happy with how the host handled the issues that came up.
