Peace and comfort

Not only was this place gorgeous but it was clean, well equipped, private and easy to get to off rt 7. Our only regret was not bringing the grandkids bicycles. There is a nice long circular driveway to ride. Also, we could have done without the slot machine in the basement which the 5 yr old wanted to play constantly. But that is minor.

VT Getaway

Beautiful views, cozy, well-furnished cabin

This "cabin" is filled with beautiful "real" furniture and equipped with everything you need. It was a wonderful base for our family vacation. Kris was very responsive to any question we had. We loved our stay in beautiful Vermont!

Spacious Cabin

We had a wonderful time. There was lots of space for everyone. The hot tub was especially nice with a beautiful view of the mountains and lightning bugs.

Cozy Log Cabin

We had a great time here!! The cabin was super cozy with tons of amenities inside and out. The hot tub was such a nice feature. The views were beautiful and the peace and quiet was exactly what we needed. Not far from Burlington and even made the trip up to Montreal and Montpellier easily from the cabin. Would recommend! Needing to unplug

This property is great for someone needing to unplug. The WiFi and television didn’t work very much. So, I got the peace and quiet I needed. The home is beautiful, Vermont is beautiful, my stay was awesome. Thank you, I so look forward to coming back.

Experience of a lifetime!

Needless to say, our stay was the experience of a lifetime: witnessing the 2024 Eclipse Totality with the back drop of the fields and snow capped mountains from the vantage point of the adirondack chairs set in back of a rustic log cabin! The cabin itself was absolutely wonderful offering every amenity we could have hoped for. We thoroughly enjoyed the moments spent with our family building up to the big moment, and reflecting on it as we took in the grand finale that the sun had to offer with a sunset from the hottub. Thank you, Kris and Ben, for providing us with a core memory that none of us will ever forget.

Perfect stay for a Vermont getaway

We loved our time at this cozy cabin. The location is exactly perfect for all activities, but you may not want to leave the house! We had plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable, and definitely enjoyed the gathering spaces so that we could be together. Our hosts decorated the house for the holidays (so charming!) and even left us welcome cookies -- made it feel like Christmas immediately. The house is very well-equipped and easy to live in. Comfy seating and lots of throw blankets to cuddle. We were there during especially cold weather, and the house is sealed tight. The setting is quiet and you'll sleep very well. We loved our time there, would go back in a heartbeat!

Great Family Vacation!

We were searching for a place to stay while coming to visit family near Shelburne and found your wonderful cabin and knew it was the perfect place to spend a relaxing week! The cabin had everything you could want. It was very clean, comfortable, and felt like a home away from home. The kitchen and eating area was great for small or large gatherings and the beds were some of the most comfortable beds we've ever had on vacation. We could tell that the cabin is well maintained and loved and appears to be updated frequently by the owners. We brought our two daughters with us, age 3 & 5 and they LOVED the cabin also and enjoyed all the space to play. The hot tub was great entertainment for all. The location of the cabin is perfect for day trips to surrounding small towns, Lake Champlain, and Burlington. We enjoyed a day at the beautiful Shelburne Farms, our kid's favorite part of the vacation (aside from the hot tub). We made wonderful memories that we will treasure. We would recommend highly Jordan's Cabin to anyone!

Beautiful home in a great location

We loved our stay in this cabin in North Ferrisburgh. The house is really lovely -- better than it looked in pictures! And views of the sunsets from the back porch are gorgeous. We had a group of eight that included grandparents, parents, and kids ranging in age from 3-14, and we all fit very comfortably, with plenty of room (and plenty of bathrooms) for everyone. My mother doesn't always get around easily, but this house didn't present any challenges for her. Everyone in our group slept well and agreed that the beds & pillows were really comfortable. The house is very open, which was not an problem for us (we actually enjoyed it), but it could be an issue for other groups, if most people aren't on similar sleep schedules. There was plenty to do nearby -- swimming, shopping, dining, and farms to visit. We were never bored! We'd definitely return to this house. It was a wonderful home in an absolutely beautiful, peaceful area, with lots to do and activities for everyone!

Just what the doctor ordered

I run a small business in CT and work constantly. My wife and I wanted to take the children to Vermont for rest and relaxation to recharge the batteries. This was the perfect place for us. The kids loved the land. At one point they ran to the furthest point to check out some deer wandering about. I played kickball with them, started a fire in the pit and came in 2nd in the Air Hockey Tourney. Let me tell you, these kids usually put my wife and I to bed, but this trip tired them out to the point where they were asleep well before we retired. As for my wife and I it was exactly what we would want on a family getaway. What a picturesque place to relax. The deck, the hammock, the fire pit, hot tub and the beauty inside the cabin provided us with what we were looking for. That being, slowing life down, sitting on the deck reading, grilling out back and just laughing and playing with the kids. For me, there was no reason to leave this cabin. We had that much fun. Though, we did venture out and was surprised to how close we were to the Lake, Vermont Teddy Bear, Ben & Jerry's etc. Kris, Thank you and God Bless! Rich and Family!

Heartbroken to leave!

The pictures do not do this cabin justice! The cabin, the landscape, the attractions and sights all need to be experienced in person! My husband surprised me for our 1 year wedding anniversary and I was totally taken aback when we entered the cabin. It is such an amazing place. Despite the fact the weather did not cooperate with us like we had hoped, we still made the most of what nice weather we had by hiking, visiting local shops and attractions, and just enjoying the cabin itself. We had learned very quickly that three days was just not enough time to do everything Vermont has to offer! The cabin was very clean and so cozy and homelike! As soon as we set foot we could not get over the character and charm of this place! (Hence the broken heart when it was time to leave!) You can really tell the owners take pride in this gem! We loved the back porch the most with the amazing views of the mountains and landscape. At night it was particularly wonderful as we have never seen the stars quite as bright as they were shining in Vermont! AMAZING! This was our first stay in Vermont and it was like nowhere else we have been! As we hiked Mt. Philo we met a lot of very nice locals. The people there are so nice! (Another reason why it's so hard to leave!) We also enjoyed just hanging in and decompressing. It's nothing like the city which is so refreshing! We would highly recommend this cabin to everyone! It is definitely a must see place! We plan to return during the warmer months to see the difference the seasons provide and to do all the activities we didn't have a chance to get to this time around! Thank you Kris for sharing Jordan's Log Cabin! :o) We cannot wait to return!

Mouse problem ruined our stay

We found mouse droppings and urine inside the drawers in the kitchen on the silverware and utensils when we arrived. We notified the owner who offered to set out traps. They allowed us to cancel the remainder of our stay which we appreciated but we were still out all the fees for one night. We lost an entire day of our vacation having to find another place to stay at the last minute with two kids and a dog which was very stressful and expensive. VRBO was no help and told us the owner was unresponsive to their inquiries.

Very clean cabin

Cabin very nice. Very clean and plenty of kitchen tools and nice large dining table. The hosts are very easy to work with. Plenty of space for the 4 of us. Third bedroom would be better to use with children as you have to walk through it to get to Master and the Bathroom is inside the master bedroom. Just to note - there are several security cameras around the oustde of the house. upstairs bath is inside that bedroom.

Fishing weekend getaway

Okay except for the mouse issue

The overall cabin was very nice. Nicely decorated, comfortable bedding, great hot tub and worked well for our family getaway. Unfortunately, the cabin has a mouse problem and it really needs to be addressed. We spent too much vacation time cleaning pots, pans, silverware and plates due to a LOT of mouse droppings in the cabinets. The mouse droppings were also found downstairs near the large built in television. We noticed this all of this on the second day of our stay and contacted the management. We were given $400 back which I felt was a little short in reimbursement. We were questioned and asked if we could send/show pictures which we did. No further adjustments made and just felt that more should have been said apology wise and offered financially. It's unfortunate because it is a nice place, but would not go back.

Beautiful spot with your own “Field of Dreams” cornfield outback. Great hot tub, grill, plenty of room for cornhole games. Nice kitchen with a big farmhouse table! Close to many great hiking spots.

Weekend Fishing trip

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful setting. Very private with amazing views of the high peaks. Close to restaurants and breweries too! Definitely recommend.

Very relaxing time

We spent a week in Jordan’s Cabin and had a wonderful time. The cabin is very cozy. Beds are super comfy. Everything was very clean. If you are planning on staying with a lot of people, I will say that you can hear every sound throughout the house. The hot tub was perfect for relaxation. The game room/ theater set up was a lot of fun as well. We’d definitely recommend this place!
