Grand View Lodge -New Listing With Room For The Family
8/10 Good
"Absolutely stunning location! The house and the land were perfect for our family getaway. Plenty of room for the kids to run around, loved fishing off the dock, and kayaking was great. I only give it 4 stars because the house clearly needs work. Missing light switches/remotes, TV not working, and some issues that seemed like the maintenance guy created and we found. Overall communication was great with the property manager and we were able to get most things resolved. I do find it odd that they don't provide towels, as you expect to have the same if not more amenities than a hotel room. We also only had one roll of paper towels that were gone pretty soon. I'm sure these things will get fixed after we've communicated it all and we all agreed we'd love to come back."
"Everything was great. It was a bit of a surprise that we could not use the AC when we arrived. Not sure if I missed it in the listing. But it was pretty warm at check in. "
Modern Cabin with Classic Northwoods Experience...Close to Trails
10/10 Excellent
"Such a lovely place in the woods! It was peaceful, pretty and serene - perfect for the 2 of us. The cabin is furnished beautifully and tastefully - just like the photos.
I recommend the canoe to Eagle Island and as recommended in the house binder, we took a hike to St Peters Dome, it’s a good workout and worth it to see the fall colors.
Recommend Pine Ridge Supper Club for their fish fry (that also includes chicken), Chippewa Inn for their prime rib and Tally Ho for their dinner specials.
This cabin is a great place and hope to return next year.

"Great place for a getaway! The kids caught plenty of fish off the dock and had a lot of fun playing at the beach area. We rented the pontoon which was very clean and everything worked great. Cabin was fully stocked and clean (high chair, bed rails, pack and play for the littles) and great communication with hosts. Can’t wait to return! "
