“The perfect home base for a quick trip to see a Cubs game. You won’t find a friendlier or less expensive place this close to Wrigley and the lake.
The close proximity to the Red Line L puts the entire city in reach for those non- baseball outings and site seeing.
The North Halsted neighborhood, while maybe not for everyone, is such a vibrant and welcoming place.

“My original stay was for 2 night and 3 days(4th of July weekend). I had such a good time, I decided to extend my trip for 2 more days. The staff was very accommodating and made my transition to my second room/stay so easy and comfortable. Not to mention the location couldn’t have been more perfect. I will be back!!!”

“The staff was very friendly, check in/out was easy, and the hotel is very charming. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel was quiet. We parked in the loading zone to check in, and then they pointed us to a condo parking garage nearby which had valet service and in/out. The building itself was older (but recently renovated it seemed), but it was a unique departure from the run-of-the-mill corporate hotels that we'd normally stay at. “This place was very different and unique; a true B&B experience. Parking was difficult, but once we got our spot we used public transportation everywhere. The nearest bus stop and train station are a ten minute walk. After we got our room we were given a tour of the property and told of all the amenities available to us (of which there were several).”

“If you stay at Hawthorn Terrace be prepared for doors slamming all hours of the night. Especially if you’re stuck on the floor. The staff closets and small breakfast room are there. Very annoying the way they stand out side the rooms talking and as I said slamming doors as they bring carts out. For the price there are way better experiences. I like to stay there because it’s close to my daughter’s house but next time will probably look into a different place. Just not worth the price.”
