“My girls and I truly enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. Mrs. Peggy is such a kind and generous hostess — it truly feels like staying with family. The house is beautiful, spotless, and thoughtfully decorated. The upstairs space is peaceful and full of natural light, with comfortable beds and even a mini fridge in the bedroom with the TV. The neighborhood is quiet and relaxing, and we can’t wait to come back again! 10/10 stars!! ”

“Loved all the history and tour at check in. Restaurants and shops within walking distance and quaint main street area. Bed was very comfortable and slept great. Building needs some repairs and upkeep but it was built in the 1880's and this was part of the charm for us.”

“My three night stay in the Garden Room at Shoal Creek Bed & Breakfast was lovely. Terri, my host made sure I was comfortable and her breakfasts were delicious. The house was spotlessly clean, bed comfortable and several places where one could sit and read, or do hand sewing, as I did. The quilt shops of Missouri Star Quilt Co. are nearby, and other things to see and do within easy driving distance. I do not hesitate to rate my stay as a five star experience. ”

“My high school girlfriends and I found this listing and thought it would be a perfect place for a quick overnight. It is a beautiful property with great views, but the listing was not clear that the owner lives on the property. We were not sure if the owners stayed in the home or next-door in their "barndominium." We were also caught off guard when the owners walked into the home without notice.
