Beautiful hotel! Staff is very friendly, and great location.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms outside of the main building were very unique. I loved the smaller, secluded pool secondary to the big main pool.

Overall this property was a good place to stay so we could spread out and have extra room for our trip. Communication was fine and checkin instructions were very detailed. I cannot give it 5 stars however. The shower curtain and shower were dirty. There were stains on the bed linens and the comforter as well as a hole in the comforter. The property also charges $5/day for parking which was not disclosed in the original price. The exterior of the property had a dog area and people did not clean up after their dog — this was also the area we were required to park.

The location is unique and the hotel is a refined and updated classic. I've been coming here for about 25 years off and on and still love this hotel. My only disappointment this last visit is that I asked for a room with a view. Since it's summer and I was on a lower floor, the only "view" was of the trees across the street. If a great view is important to you, perhaps make the reservations in person, not online.

A little quirky that you need to walk outside get to your room. Room was big and clean with nice double sinks. Staff was super nice. Convenient to historic district. A good bargain.
