"Stay was amazing ! Mr Fukushima was so kind - he helped us with discounted lift tickets, picked us up from the train station and took us grocery shopping. Location was right at the Iwatake gondola. Please note the unit is in traditional Japanese style - sleeping on the floor with Japanese pillows (very different to western pillows). Highly recommend !"
"The property is managed by the nicest owners. They were so accomodating and even offered to drop us off in the town centre on both days of our stay as it was too hot to walk. "
"what a lovely place. very pretty, great location. the service and staff there is wonderful bordering on magical. this was our first trip to Japan and we were so happy to have chosen hotel traumerie... "
"This hotel is a giant log house, situated in a beautiful street of similar buildings. Nothing beats waking up to fresh snow falling outside your window (massive glass windows) and sipping on a hot cup of tea. The room was very cosy and comfortable! I had the best sleeps here. After a hard day of snow boarding, coming back to just sit in front of the fire, watch the snow fall, have a bath or have drinks with friends in the common area was absolutely amazing!! Wish I never had to leave! 10/10!!!! "
"Great location near plenty of restaurants and the shuttle bus to the slopes. Communication great and there is a free shuttle bus to take you to the supermarket."

"Saiko was the best host you could hope for. We had an amazing time. The facilities had everything you needed including breakfast. I was definitely recommend staying here. "
"The resort was first class. We loved the Onsen which they had both private and public. They had no restrictions on Tattoos. The breakfast was great and we saved a lot of money on dinners since they had free wine, soups, miso, udon, etc every afternoon. "
"We stayed for 6 nights at this lovely family-run guesthouse. It is welcoming, cosy and clean in a quiet but charming village. Breakfast was always tasty, varied and fuelled our hours of snowboarding. The triple room with the private bathroom was generous in size, comfy and warm. Hot baths post slopes were a highlight of every day, and the laundry, space to store snowboards etc were helpful. Some nice dining options and cafes nearby, with a 7/11 within walking distance as well. There is quick walking access to the free Iwatake shuttle, and the nearby free Happo & Hakuba 47 shuttles (these are not the paid valley shuttle buses!). Iwatake and Happo One are close by, with Iwatake about 6 minutes by the free shuttle. Another highlight of the stay included the kind host, who was always very helpful and went out of his way to take care of his guests - he made sure we made our connecting transport back to Tokyo and helped us navigate and organise the Yamato luggage transport. We really hope to visit again. "
