This hotel in the Hancock-Houghton area is located in a quiet part of town near the Portage lift bridge. It is well kept, the rooms are comfortable and spacious, and the lobby/breakfast area is clean an open. It's not a new building but it is well maintained. It is located near a walking or running trail along the lakeshore, and the lakefront provides a nice view of the lift bridge. The breakfast is both hot and cold. However, other meals require driving or walking to restaurants that are less than 10 minutes away. It's a great hotel for a relaxed atmosphere on Portage Lake and quiet at night.
