The AC didn’t get cold, even when it was on high. The room was bearable but I like colder temperatures. The hotel only had one elevator which is kind of annoying. Otherwise it was clean and nice inside the room.

We were very disappointed with our stay at the Rochester. They claim to have “quiet hours” in the evening but they don’t enforce it. We were in a room on the first floor and could not relax or sleep in our room because of the noise coming from the bar and guests outside. There is no staff on site in the evenings. I called the hotel’s main number for help with this issue and spoke with someone who couldn’t care less about the problem. If you think you’re getting a quaint, quiet, boutique hotel - you’re wrong. They would rather be selling fancy mixed drinks to locals than be accommodating to their hotel guests. At $350/night it’s just disgusting the way we were treated.

"Overall, it was a poor experience. Staff were lukewarm and transactional. The room is in disrepair with chunks missing out of the floor and a strange smell. The shower head leaked more water than what came out of the head. The sink faucet leaked too. The TV didn't work and it was reported twice. ..."
