Centrally located for almost any local site as well as many dining options around the hotel. Breakfast was plentiful and thoughtfully stocked. Staff was very nice.

Lovely hotel in an excellent location.

Liked the property generally. The staff was very nice, made good recommendations. The air conditioning was not working well, which made it uncomfortable in the room. Also, there were a minimum of electrical outlets, which made it somewhat difficult to keep things charged. Finally, The shower design was poor.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Carlton Lyon. The staff are wonderful: friendly and accommodating. The hotel is in the heart of the city. Two metro stops and the central tram transit point at Bellecour are all within an easy walking distance. My room was wonderful. And there are a lot of dining options around. Given that the hotel does not offer a la carte breakfast, I highly recommend Cafe Joyeaux Lyon, a five min walk away, which has the best croissants in Lyon and excellent coffee as well.

The hotel is quiet and convenient to old Lyon and the Musée des Beaux-arts which was nice, but overall it felt a bit tired, in need of being refreshed. I was also surprised that what is billed as a four star hotel didn’t offer real glasses in the rooms. A small point but one that I noticed. The staff were very friendly and polite.
