This motel has an opportunity to be a star in a very small town with very limited options. When I opened the door to the front office the smell of what I can only compare to an animal shelter hit hard. The girl at the front desk was very nice and got me taken care of right away. When I got to my room, I was shocked to discover that I could not lock the deadbolt from inside the room, only with a key from the outside. The doorknob was just a push button lock. This motel does not have laundry facilities, and we were counting on them. We were doing the bike across Kansas and needed to be able to do our laundry. In addition, this motel did not even have an ice machine. This is the first motel I have ever experienced that had no ice machine And customers had no access to any ice.
