This property is located a short tuk tuk ride from the airport. It makes sense to locate first or last nights close to airport with early or late flights since Colombo is a long way from its international airport. There is no suitable public transport to or from the airport into Colombo other than Uber. This hotel has a respectable bar and restaurant attached which is handy since not much is in the local area. The rooms are pretty basic and are really only suitable for a one night stop. I would use the hotel again if coming in late or leaving early from Sri Lanka.

We also enjoyed the dinner option, which was well-prepared and satisfying. Every request we had was met with a smile and genuine willingness to help. Our room was spacious, clean, and had breathtaking views overlooking Kandy — a perfect spot to unwind. The addition of a private hot tub was an unexpected luxury that added to the relaxing atmosphere. The lush gardens surrounding the property made the entire place feel peaceful and inviting. It was the ideal setting to slow down and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. We would absolutely recommend Theva Residency to anyone visiting Kandy. It’s a wonderful blend of warm hospitality, modern comfort, and natural serenity.
