"I booked this property via Expedia and when I reached there the hotel was closed. The surprising thing is that I was closed for more than a year and still then Expedia did booking and charged advance money.
This is my second incident in Myanmar with Expedia that such thing happened. Now my request will go into never ending cycle of refund and as usual Expedia will send me long emails with no action.
In July I lost my 200$ in a similar incident and never got paid back. Poor service by Expedia. "

"This is a perfect place to stay, esp when the price is considered. People are willing to help and honest. "

"I had a nice stay at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful but their English skills need to be improved.
The breakfast was nice - a typical 3* hotel standard.
The room was clean and spacious. "

"The hotel is super nice with great new staff, limited food in the hotel and activities, should consider another social bar or club area as the hotel is very big, maybe even a night club. No hot tub, no 24 hour activity kinda makes no sense as staff stay overnight anyway. "

"It's a classic case of "you get what you pay for". The photos online make the place look a bit fancier than it really is. That said, considering it's a budget hotel, the rooms are surprisingly big. They could do with a bit of a makeover, but it's not a big deal.
The rooftop bar is gorgeous! It's a great spot to chill out and take in the view.
The best part of the stay was definitely the staff. Everyone was super friendly and really helpful, especially NyiNyi – they made a huge difference. My...

"Only thing good about this hotel is in the middle of city and lot of shops around. It’s old and dirty bathtub. Bed mattress is also not firm and very very old. I won’t stay here again, "

"Would have given them at least 4 stars overall but my 15 nights stay was somewhat miserable. Myanmar gets very hot and humid most times. During my stay the building AC was not working pretty much throughout my stay. Walked in and it felt like it was steaming hot. Good thing my room had backup AC unit but that barely cool the room. Laundry was ridiculously priced for a piece of clothing like pant or shirt it was $2-3 which is absurd. However, front desk customer service was pleasant. Until the...

"This hotel was recommended by a local friend. Just book a one night stay. After arriving at the hotel and finishing the check-in procedure then go upstairs and enter the room. After a few minutes the staff hadn't brought the luggage into the room so I made a phone call and then brought the suitcase in. At night that I found that the suitcase had been pried open and the password was changed. Amazing! (I changed to this hotel from another hotel and the luggage did not touch by anyone).

"Of the hundreds of hotels that I’ve stayed at in Asia over the past 20 years this is one of the very best! And I so wish I could stay at the Chatrium again in the future, because pretty much everything was perfect. The only problem is some highly inappropriate material displayed in the main reception area, and so in good conscience I cannot ever stay at this fine hotel in the future. Thanks so much for all the great memories from previous stays. Your accommodations and staff have been spectacular "
"The place is very clean. Su Wei ( reception) and her team is amazing since the minute we walked in. We went and booked another hotel for experience but we had to return to Novotel because not many Hotel in YGN is clean. Especially we were traveling with 7 months old. Ma Htike from reservation was very helpful with all the adjustments we made. One of the best in Myanmar. "
"The area was nice as it was off in it's own corner away from the busy downtown streets, was no issue getting a Grab to go anywhere as well. Staff was always nice and inviting and there was a piano they allowed you to play in the bar area. The bar/club downstairs was interesting but the music they played was extremely loud so we had to sit far in the back away to hear/talk to people."
"comfortable 、 clean 、good breakfast 、staff friendly 、good location 、air conditioning at night 、no air conditioning during daytime from 9 am up to unknown time period on my first day living here ! "
