Lovely little hotel, building from the 1800’s and rooms small but they were very clean and well decorated. No aircon…which I wouldn’t normally mention but during current heatwave it was warm….that said fan in the room did the job for me.

Location was convenient, just a few minutes from the Metro and 15~20 minutes from some must-see places like Montmartre. The room is much (much) smaller than expected with the double bed next to the wall, limiting mobility for a couple. Paris was hot, very hot at 35°C ...and I didn't realize there was no air conditioning when booking, only a small 8" ventilator.

I stayed on the top floor (the sixth), but the elevator—which only holds one person—stopped at the fifth floor, meaning I had to carry my luggage up the final flight of stairs. The room had a slanted ceiling on one side, making it impossible to stand up straight; the bathroom window lacked curtains; and there was no air conditioning, making the room stiflingly hot. I was provided only with an old, noisy fan, and I couldn't sleep at all the first night. When I asked to change rooms, I was told the hotel was fully booked; although they promised a change for the next day, they refused again using the same excuse, and their attitude was extremely hostile—even suggesting I could leave if I wasn't satisfied. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told there was no one in a higher position of authority. Both receptionists on duty were unfriendly, scowling constantly and speaking with a condescending tone that clearly showed their disdain. I finally saw a manager on the morning of the third day, but they claimed to already know the whole story and showed no interest in hearing our side of things. Fortunately, the temperature in Paris dropped by over ten degrees starting the second day, allowing me to barely make it through four very unpleasant and uncomfortable nights. I have stayed in hotels all over the world, but this one had the worst service attitude of them all

Convenient location, immediate neighborhood area was pleasant and felt safe; well connected with public transportation. Hotel was clean but dated (benefit of this was historic bathroom design with ducks in wall tiles).

Ein gut geführtes Hotel, dieczimmeg sind für Paris groß, das Badezimmer ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Betten etwas weich, aber das ist ja Geschmackssache. Sehr ruhig in einer Deitenstrasse gelegen, aber nur 3min von der Metro entfernt. Für uns war es sehr gut.

A lovely hotel with newly renovated rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Easy metro access to central Paris and a short walk from Gare du Nord. Le BB restaurant at the end of the street was very very good.
