Casa Grande Ecolodge at Pacuare Reserve"Unfortunately I was unable to enjoy a stay at the Casa Grande. There is no road to the place, i.e. they have to pick you up by boat. I sent an e-mail, left two WhatsApp messages and tried calling 4 times, all to no avail. Even 2 days later I have not heard from them. I ended up in Parismina without any recourse to get to the place, and so I had to find a different accommodation there. Very unfortunate. If you can book this place in the morning for the evening, the resort must respond, otherwise...
"We were in room 29, it was spacious and even with screen windows it wasn’t too noisy from people nearby. The hammock on the porch was nice, and we got to see toucans in the tree by our front door. We also saw a huge iguana on the lawn, and a sweet orange cat. The bathroom was also large and clean. The shower did not have a handheld but it was a rain shower and had hot water pretty quickly. The strange wooden rack in the bathroom proved very useful to lay out clothes to try and get them to dry....
