The Perfect Family Getaway

We loved everything about our stay. The cottage was spotless and was located in a beautiful, quiet community. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. Our kids loved the mini golf course and swimming in the pool. Rathtrevor Beach was just a short drive away. Karen was a wonderful host and provided detailed instructions that made check-in super easy.

Such a lovely cottage, close to the beach and mini golf!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Karen’s cottage. The cottage is decorated well and the kitchen is fully outfitted. It’s an easy walk to the beach and mini golf and ice cream! The beds were comfy and we all slept well. We’d definitely come back and stay here again!

Your place to stay in Parksville

This is the second time we have stayed at Hummingbird Cottage and just as impressed as we were the first time around in February 2019. The facility is lovely, very clean, offers all amenities (minus your groceries of course). Being mid island Parksville is close to everything and near the junction to hwy 4 to Tofino. There is so much to do locally one need to travel far to enjoy themselves. Karen is a treat to deal with and one day we will have to actually speak in person as opposed to online. You will not be disappointed staying here.

We loved our recent stay at Karen's cottage! My husband and I, along with our two "kids" ( 21 and 23) and our little dog had a wonderful time. We had the master bedroom, our daughter took the second room and our son had the pull out sofa, it was easy peasy. The cottage had everything we needed, it was clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated and the perfect location. Karen was lovely to deal with, always prompt with a response to questions. Honestly, it was the perfect getaway for our family before the kids head back to University.So happy we chose it!!!

Great Vacation at Hummingbird Cottage

It’s the perfect place for a family. Amenities including pool & amusement park within walking distance; shopping & restaurants, a 5-10 min drive. And of course the beach & a kids water park nearby as well. The cottage itself is immaculate & well maintained. Overall, the perfect family getaway!

Fantastic Family Getaway

This was our first time renting thru VRBO so i didn't know what to expect. I was more than happy with this tastefully decorated property and want to return on our next visit to the Island.
