"We loved the pool area, but were disappointed not all the saunas and steam areas seemed to be working. The wellness area had outdated workout equipment but we loved the options for racquetball and ping pong. Getting here is a hassle if you don’t have a car. There is a grocery store and little toy shop very close to the hotel (but you’ll have to walk your groceries up hill to get back to the hotel without a car - Just a warning since we saw some unhappy faces as we drove past them). "Convenient to Trier.
Room hot...no conditioning...not even a fan.
Noisy...right above dining terrace...loud talking/children screaming...until about 21:00.
Staff OK...but "preoccupied" and not overly courteous or helpful."

"I'll start by saying that I'm not a comfortable complainer. I also don't like to leave generally negative reviews, but I can only speak as I find.
I've spent a month touring Europe alone on my motorbike so I've spent a lot of time (and money) on various styles of hotels with varying price brackets.
First the positives - front of house staff were friendly and the view was main selling point.
The negatives -
- My room was not clean, especially the bathroom. Sink and toilet stained and the bin...

"Very nice people, even better food and decent parking and clean rooms. Do not expect any shops in the vicinity, but as a central point it is very easy to go everywhere."

"We had to leave one night earlier due to urgent family circumstances and the lady was so kind to refund the breakfast and a big part of the night we had to cancel. We will definitely go back, friendly staff, good breakfast and a restaurant inside the hotel."

"Restaurant was closed and staff was not very helpful with other restaurant recommendations. Room was old and not comfortable, but expected for price. "

"We had a lovely time in this beautiful hotel right in the middle of the old town. Trier is truly special - so many interesting sites and don't miss visiting the Mosel river valley nearby. The hotel staff was very friendly and the restaurant was delicious - we ate dinner there twice and really enjoyed our meals. The room was comfortable and quiet and we had a nice balcony and a view of the cathedral. Overall, would definitely recommend! "

"Whilst this is a little walk from Trier station (about half an hour), the hotel is terrific: staff are friendly, the room quality is great and the breakfast was plentiful."

"Diverse breakfast options made it a good deal. Very comfortable bed. Nice, new bathrooms. A bit stuffy and the window doesn't open much for air flow. "

"While the hotel is a bit of a hike from the train station, it is worth it.
The room was very nice and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast room has a view of the river - perfect for a relaxing start to the day. Coffee was great.
I would definitely stay here again. "

"Great place, easy parking, just outside of town but very walkable. Slightly confusing layout but once you managed to get to your room it was great. Would recommend "

"A beautiful peaceful countryside stay by the forest, I would love to go again but sadly the receptionist lady's behaviour was strange the way she looked at us, like we're not welcomed I love travelling and I visited over twenty countries but never happened this before. I'm not complaining but this is unusual specially on four star hotels."

We loved the pool table downstairs in the bar and our balcony was spacious with great views. It seemed by the overall look of the hotel that it was luxurious back in its day of maybe the 80s or 90s. I didn’t mind it at all and would stay here again! "
