Lovely stay away from it all but has a few small issues

We enjoyed our stay on the Jewel House property! Lots of outdoor space to explore and lots of historical buildings to see on site. This property is a wedding venue, so there is a lovely pond, an even barn, and a river overlook that is very nice. The little cabin is charming and beautifully decorated. It was comfortable for our little family and had almost everything we needed. The king bed was especially comfortable. The owner was friendly and brought us extra towels and space heaters when we requested them. The family dogs were also friendly but took a few minutes to warm up to us. I think we must have stayed in the “off” season, though, because there were a few little things that could have been better. The house was surface clean at first glance, but it obvious it hadn’t been deep cleaned in a while. Dirty corners, spider webs, missed spots in the bathrooms, etc. Some of the dishes in the cupboards and some of the cupboards themselves weren’t the cleanest, so I felt the need to wash things before we used them. There were no kitchen towels or potholders in the kitchen and no washcloths in the bathrooms. Overall though, we loved our stay and would definitely stay again when we’re in the area if the cleaning issues are addressed.

Lovely Wedding cottage that allowed Pets

Tiana and Patrick the owners are so gracious and wonderful !!! The wedding cottage was decorated lovely , private . We had two grandmothers who loved the rocking chairs in the porch and our 9 year old loved playing in the stream on the property . Our cat and dog loved the space as well ! This truly is a Jewell ! We will return .

Secluded relaxing weekend getaway!

If you’re looking for a quiet cabin with a lot of land- look no further! We brought our 2 dogs and our baby and had a perfect relaxing weekend. Plenty of trails to explore. Tiana was a wonderful host. Everything was great!

Owners are great! The property is perfect if you want to get out of town or, like us, want to go to a rural, quiet place like home but where you don’t have all the chores to do! Close enough to food and groceries that you can choose how you want to do your stay.

The property had lots of space for our dogs to run around. The grounds were very well kept. The pond and River were great to fish and explore. So much to see and do even great star gazing at night could see the Milky Way from horizon to horizon. The owners were super friendly and told us a lot about the history of the property.

The Quaint Cabin

The cabin is adorable nestled on 40 acres with a barn wedding venue tucked in the woods. The owners our absolutely the best! Brides you have so much space here and photo props that are so cool! The huge pond on the property is beautiful and there is a creek that runs the property. The cabin is decorated classy and this is a definite recommend!

A Wonderful Stay

We really enjoyed our stay. Tiana and Patrick were great hosts. The 42 acre property is beautiful. The dogs loved spending time at the river. The history of the property and the area was a special aspect. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Lovely quiet pet friendly location

Cute little cabin in a beautiful quiet location, short walk to the river or sit beside the relaxing pond. Pet friendly, our large dog was welcome here.
