INCREDIBLE ocean cliff views at your doorstep on very private acreage + parking.
10/10 Excellent
"Our host was wonderful, she was very considerate and her special touches were perfect. The location was beautiful, nature and the cliffs felt like a park setting. Our family had a wonderful time ..... highly recommend :)"
Oceanfront mini home, two decks, with spectacular views.
10/10 Excellent
"The mini home had everything we needed, plus modern finishes/amenities and beautiful views. The layout of the property, with the two buildings, hot tub and fire pit, made it feel like we were at our own private camp. It’s so quiet, all you will hear is the sound of waves and occasional bird or squirrel. The perfect break from the city. "
"Older rooms but everything needed was provided including extra bedding, heating and fan and very clean and comfortable.
Fridge made noises but turning it off was all it needed.
The walls could be sound proofed. The man next door snored all night!
Breakfast was very good.
Wine had a big mark up price. Take your own!
Receptionist was friendly and helpful."
"My stay at this place was nothing short of spectacular! The house is in great shape inside and out. Lee is an excellent host and very accommodating (even upon my late arrival), he had everything well laid out inside the property as well as outside of it.The kitchen is well furnished with all your cooking utensils available, as well as plenty of garbage/recycling/compost bags ready when needed. Although there is no stove/oven however, there is a dual hot element plate and air fryer that's available as well as the BBQ, which I mainly used during my stay.Everything that you need for food prep (utensils, condiments, etc) in the kitchen and toiletries in the bathroom/shower is all nicely laid out and organized. The dining table set is nicely laid out between the bed and the TV/couch and kitchen areas without taking up too much room. The Smart TV and love seat area has board games and books and travel pamphlets of the Mavilette/Clare area for playing or reading if it's a rainy day out or if you just want to chill for a bit. There is ample closet room for your clothes or baggage storage that is nearly tucked away near the table. The backyard is nearly trimmed and well kempt, there is a firepit available for those evening fires (when there are no fire bans in place, of course) and there is a pathway to the nearby creek where there are kayaks or paddleboards available for day use.I will definitely come back here again next time I'm back in Nova Scotia! This place is a gem!"
Lakefront country cabin with rustic charm overlooking lake
10/10 Excellent
"The cabin we stayed in was the smaller of the 3, it is a little small with the bed down but still very comfortable for 2. There is definitely care that they put into these cabins, by how well they have been built. The bathroom is ample for 2 people and the Kitchenet has everything you need. The barbecue works well and the hosts make sure you have everything you need. I wouldn’t think twice about staying here again it was that good and well worth the price for a weeks stay. "
The Cove House- completely renovated 1910 beach house
10/10 Excellent
"Had high expectations going in and all of them were exceeded. The house itself accommodated 4 families very comfortably and every little detail was meticulously thought through - host Madison & Jody have clearly put their heart & soul into this place which honours the local Acadian traditions. The property overlooks the ocean which allowed us to take our time and walk on it at low tide. It is located in a quiet community but close to spectacular scenery and beaches such as Smugglers Cove and Mavilette beach where the kids swam and became master beachcombers finding large never before seen sea shells. This place provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of more popular getaways. In truth, we thought the Brier Island Lighthouse easily rivalled that of Peggy’s Cove - and we had it all to ourselves. The place feels like it’s off the beaten path yet still very accessible as it is only 25 min drive from Digby ferry. We all highly recommend this place. Any one looking to catch up with family & friends away from the blare of conventional tourist swells, where the only distraction is a stunning sunset and tidal movements that leave you awestruck, cannot go wrong with the Cove House. Fully satisfied."
Sainte-Marie Church is just one of the places to see in Church Point, so why not enjoy the other things to explore during your travels? While you're in the area, wander around the natural setting.
