I was shocked by how disappointing my stay was from start to finish. At check-in, I was told my card kept declining and that I needed another form of payment. It turned out the problem was the hotel’s system, not my card.
I stayed five nights, and my bed was never made once. My trash was never emptied, and I had to repeatedly ask for clean towels, only receiving enough on my last day. I guess the hotel was “self service” because I cleaned everything myself. The bathtub also wouldn’t drain properly, leaving water up to my ankles during every shower and standing water afterward.
I asked the front desk about a washer machine because I needed to clean a dress for an event. I was told the hotel didn’t have laundry facilities and was directed to a laundromat. The next day Im going to the gym and I discovered a washer and dryer on the lower level.
Breakfast was also disappointing. There were no dairy-free milk options, and the vegetarian choices were very limited. The fresh waffle station and warm cookies in the lobby were nice, but this hotel is far too expensive for those to be the highlights.
This hotel is special to me because my late mother and I stayed here for a week before she passed away, and it was her favorite hotel. I chose to spend my birthday here hoping to feel comforted by those memories. Unfortunately, the experience left me sad and disappointed instead of happy and comfortable..
