This is my go-to hotel stay in the State College area, but this time the clock alarm went off repeatedly during the night (perhaps a suggestion to be sure there is no ability to set a multi-day function?), the sink was clogged so that we had to pry it open with a knife and the water pressure was non-existent. The pools were lovely and well maintained, the breakfast was good (although I would appreciate a 10 AM cut off on weekends) and it is reasonably priced compared to other local comparable options. Everyone at the front desk was friendly, efficient and helpful and the cleaning staff was kind and very quiet.

Our stay at the Carnegie was great. The property and grounds are really pretty, the staff helpful, courteous, and accessible. Our room was kept refreshed daily. The location is close to Wegman’s if groceries are needed, but nothing is walkable per se, ie, restaurants or shopping. There is a restaurant in the hotel, but it is high end prices. On the other hand, if one is a golfer, that is immediately there! Thanks for the great stay!
