“ Wonderful Stay at Maya Hotel Resort! I had an amazing experience at the Maya Hotel Resort during my 7-day stay. My first impression wasn’t the best, as we arrived at night, and I couldn’t see the ocean because the tide was out. However, in the morning, the water returned, and with better lighting, I was able to fully appreciate the beauty of the resort. “Very welcoming and friendly staff; restaurant went out of their way to accommodate our dietary restrictions. The property is kept very clean and well staffed. If you want a break from the crowded touristy areas of Zanzibar; I highly recommend Treetop. Just be aware that off property it’s a distance to find restaurants or proper markets. But Treetop is so good for a quiet restful stay in Zanzibar. It’s also very close to Jozani Forest which is a major attraction for nature and wildlife ”

“Das Gesamtpaket war einfach genial. Zumindest für uns. Wir haben aber auch kein all-inclusive Luxushotel erwartet, sondern ein authentisches, familiäres Plätzchen mit viel Charme und einer entspannten Atmosphäre. Da muss man auch gelegentlich mal fünf gerade lassen und nicht Schweizer Standart erwarten. Man muss sich auch bewusst sein, dass der Ozean aufgrund der Gezeiten nicht immer brav vor dem Privatstrand wartet, sondern sich auch mal einige hundert Meter weit zurückziehen kann. Umgekehrt……
