The hotel is clean and tidy and very near Rennes train station. Room was very small and so was bathroom. Air con worked well and bed comfy. Thought had tea and coffee in room but didn't. There was a kettle by reception and you made your own there and took it to your room. Breakfast was decent. Nice buffet selection of pastries, cheese, cooked meats etc. Not the best in Rennes but decent.

The best thing about this hotel is the view. The rooms are ok (carpet a bit old, bathrooms could use remodelling) and on the small side. Pool was nice but very small and narrow and not particularly warm, so we didn’t stay in very long. The pool has a great view over the water and the views from the hotel rooms are stunning. The breakfast was quite basic with not many options and cost €35 plus fees. Overall the hotel and breakfast were not good value. The staff member who offered to give us a ride to our next hotel was very helpful. It wasn’t clear where to go to get the ferry and we did ask staff questions about the ferry routes, etc., but perhaps there was a language barrier. There’s a way to walk directly from the ferry terminal to the hotel, which we discovered ourselves on the way back! Staff didn’t offer to book any excursions for us. The price didn’t seem to match the luxury experience we expected. (My friend’s room was over $700 a night, mine was $548). Great views and the wine and cocktails are highly recommended!

Very good space and usual hotel amenities, but glass table in room was damaged (leaving sharp edge exposed), and metal floor trims by pool steps were loose and left sharp corners exposed to bare feet. With some better maintainable, would be near faultless. Wonderful breakfast :)
