Country house near Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore

"We had a fabulous stay. The home was cozy, set in the country on a large wooded lot. It was a quick drive to sleeping bear dunes and close to Glenn Arbor. Gary was a responsive host and easy to communicate with. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit the area. Hope to stay here again."

"Coho Cottage was a wonderful property! Anything you might think you would need was provided. The house was exceptionally clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, cups, pots, pans etc. The neighborhood was very quiet which we liked. It was very comfortable for our party of four. Thank you so much!"
"This is the second year I’ve stayed here for the week of Ironman Michigan 70.3. We turn it into a mini vacation. We love this cottage. The view is great. We’ve enjoyed using the kayaks and SUP boards, hanging out on the deck or dock, or taking short trips to the nearby attractions. Highly recommend."
"I visited the area for 79.3 Ironman. As I was late to look for lodging, affordable space was slim. That’s how I came across The Cottonwood. The place is very charming. Toby makes an excellent breakfast and Holly is a wonderful welcoming host!
Empire is a close drive to many attractions in the area!

"A great place to enjoy Northern Michigan. Close to Honor and Sleeping Bear Dunes, it’s an easy drive to get around. The house was well appointed. The kitchen has all the gadgets, including a full sized coffee maker, a bonus. The bedrooms are comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. We had a great stay, it’s close to a lot of local golf courses and we used that to our advantage!"
After visiting Philip A. Hart Visitor Center, make a plan to see the other sights and activities in Empire. Stroll along the lakeside or discover the area's sunsets.
Commune with nature and explore the great outdoors at Platte Lake during your travels in Honor. Amble around the area's parks or experience its theater scene.
