Welcome to Casa Ventana al Mar, your “Window to the Sea” in Playa Grande, Costa Rica. Guests of this beautiful home enjoy the finest sunsets over the Pacific in all of Playa Grande. This very private home is in a quiet, residential area, nestled in a Guanacaste tropical dry forest with a 180-degree view of the ocean. It’s perfect for lounging and enjoying the peace and quiet after a day exploring everything Costa Rica has to offer!

When you enter this gorgeous home, you are immediately drawn to the spectacular view visible throughout the house from oversized sliding glass doors. Indoor / outdoor living at its best! The house is situated on the top of a hill and designed to take advantage of the tropical ocean breezes.

From the front door you enter the main living area with 20-foot ceilings, plenty of seating and a flat screen TV. The neighboring gourmet kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make your own meals, or we can arrange to have our private chef come and prepare a memorable dish for you and your group to enjoy. The large dining table was crafted from reclaimed, local, Guanacaste wood by a local artisan.

Open the extra wide sliding glass doors for free-flowing access to the covered outdoor area and instantly expand your living space. The tropics are all about indoor/outdoor living, creating a relaxing and fun environment from every space. The covered patio offers the perfect spot for your morning coffee or book. Sit and relax or enjoy the chaise lounges as you work on your tan!

The outdoor dining area is great for socializing while the grill master is cooking up the days fresh catch on the gas barbecue after a day on one of our sportfishing charters.

The main attraction of the outdoor area is the 60-foot, infinity edge, ocean view pool. Cool off in the water as you stare out to the Pacific Ocean, the blue skies of Guanacaste and tropical dry forest below. The pool has a shallow beach entry which is great for kids or just lounging. The main pool has plenty of space to splash and cool off between beach visits, or excursions and is the perfect location to enjoy the spectacular Playa Grande sunsets.

This home boasts 3-bedrooms and 3-baths, including two king master suites, each with its own unique features.

Follow the floating staircase to the upstairs master suite. The room is beautifully designed with a coffered wood ceiling, oversized wood fan and custom-built floor to ceiling headboard. The suite includes a large spa style private bathroom with an oversized shower. This suite offers a little more privacy and access to two balconies (one private, one shared) both with incredible ocean views. The shared upper balcony has an outdoor seating area complete with sink and mini fridge. Beautiful place to have a private sunset viewing or toast another wonderful day in Costa Rica!

The sliding glass doors of the main floor master suite open to the pool area and offer an ocean view right from your pillow! The private bathroom has an extra unique feature, a private outdoor garden shower for your enjoyment.

The third guestroom, also on the main floor, has a custom-built single over queen bunk bed allowing three people to sleep comfortably. There is a 75"flat Smart TV in the room for easy connection to all your devices. It is a great room for kids or adults.

All bedrooms offer high-quality linens, pillows, and mattresses for a restful vacation. Each of the three bathrooms has been designed with top-quality fixtures, tiles, and faucets.

Off the kitchen, there is the laundry and storage area complete with a full-size washer and dryer, laundry sink and other household items at your disposal. Housekeeping service is included every other day for weekly rentals. If you prefer, a daily housekeeping service is available for $50 per visit for up to four hours and can be scheduled before or during your stay to take care of all your cleaning, dishes, and laundry.

The house is equipped with free hi-speed wireless internet throughout, A/C in all bedrooms and living spaces, ceiling fans indoor and out, BBQ, Pool, security system, beach cooler and much more!

An hour drive from the Liberia International Airport, Playa Grande is a quaint beach and surfing community with good restaurants and all the amenities. The best pizza in the area is a short 700m walk from the house!

While you could surely spend much of your time unwinding by the pool in Casa Ventana al Mar’s serene setting, you'll not want to miss the local attractions. This ideally located home rests just above Playa Grande and Playa Ventanas, both a short walk from the house. Within a short drive you can also visit the white sands of Bahia de los Piratas, Playa Real, and Playa Mina. For another popular beach, visit Playa Conchal, a shell sand beach. Right beside Playa Conchal, you'll find Playa Brasilito, offering many beachside restaurants and bars. Just north of there is the town of Flamingo, which also has great restaurants and bars, as well as shopping.
Travel 20 minutes south to Tamarindo, for more great surfing and plenty of shopping, dining, beach activities, and a lively nightlife that will keep you entertained for hours!
