If you love birding, and are in the Bettendorf/LaClaire, IA area, stop by the lock and dam to view some awesome bird action! The white pelicans have lasted the winter, which I think is pretty odd. Usually we don't see them until late March at the earliest.

This dam is located on the Mississippi River between LaClaire and Bettendorf, Iowa. It is a fantastic place to photograph wildlife. It is a very popular place in the winter months (especially January) when people come from all over the world to photograph bald eagles.
Nature photographers will really like this area. During this outing I was able to photograph this American White Pelican. I also got photos of Bald Eagles and Merganser Ducks.

Great house for watching eagles on the river. Fantastic casual game room with lots to do. A lot of stairs, making it a challenge for elderly or small children. The house was well stocked. Very pet friendly.
