Full disclosure, the place was getting reconstructed while I was there. This is a property I have stayed in the past ad might have missed the heads up. The room was clean itself and was fully functioning, do believe this place had a decent shower. for a night stay this a was good place, being down town allowed also for great views all day long and a decent walkscore for things to see and do. the only issue I had was that the laundry service was out of service and that was the main reason I choose that hotel as I knew they had one. This did allow for a fun experience at a local laundrymat. Gym was also down but I am a pool girl and that hotel still has my favourite hotel pool with slide.

No to the cooking and parking was outside your door.

No shoes allowed from the front door throughout the hotel. So take some slippers!! The owner makes you feel like you are invading here space and makes you feel like her time is more important than the customers time. There are lots of rules and $100 potential fine if you make a sound or wear your shoes. The owner can be quite sarcastic . Lastly She was upset by the amount paid. I booked online so they set the price not me.

We had booked in to the Baddeck Domes for our stay but they were not finished being built. This was very disappointing for us. The owner made it right by giving us a full refund for the Domes. We then stayed in the Baddeck motel. The room was tiny, there was mold on the curtains, but the beds were clean and comfortable enough. It looks like they may be doing some renovations on the motel. The staff was the best part of the stay.

Brand new mattresses, so comfy. Suite was very big. Large, clean washroom. Lots of parking. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was opening day for the hotel but the restaurant wasn’t open yet. Our only complaint was that the floors squeaked so we could hear the people above quite a bit.
