Very helpful and friendly staff. Room was very clean, bed very comfortable. The only issue was the weak air conditioning. It was a very hot day and the room did not feel cool despite the air conditioner set to the lowest possible setting. Enjoyed the bed and bathroom and the location. Nice hotel.

Firstly, I must say that the staff at the VIP Executive Azores Hotel is by far the most professional, helpful and friendly staff we've ever interacted with. The service throughout our stay was exemplary. Our deepest thanks goes to restaurant staff Hugo, Paulo, Erica and Elizaura. Enrique at the reception desk was always helpful and ready to hear about our day. The hotel is perfectly situated to the City Centre, the harbour, the pineapple plantation and the botanical gardens. The restaurant meals were fantastic, from the breakfast and dinner buffets to the sit down service provided at lunch. Our room balcony faced the ocean, and the rooftop terrace provides a view of the harbour and the landscape. Great experience!

Older hotel which is fine but the entry carpet should be replaced as it’s the first thing you see when you enter and it is in very rough shape Staff were nice and helpful. Room was clean but the bed was terribly uncomfortable- it was slopping into the middle and needs replacing Shower had what looked like mold in it. We did not use the pool because you need a shower cap and we didn’t want to purchase one. Location wasn’t the best. It seemed to be in the newer area vs our previous hotel being right in the middle of things - just depends on what you want Overall hotel was fine but wouldn’t recommend it

Good hotel overall. Fluctuating prices but for $198/night stay its great. Great for solo travel and relax after day of hiking. Big grocery store next door for all supplies. I’d recommend this place.
