Great location and great place to stay

Nice Clean Helpful staff

A beautiful historic hotel, we found the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Great breakfast, comfortable suite (ours had a kitchen) and loved that we could do laundry at the onsite laundry machines. We could walk everywhere in old Charlottetown, and parking was free at the hotel. I would stay here again and would highly recommend to anyone I know travelling to PEI.

The cottage was very basic. We originally booked a cottage that said it fit up to six but when we arrived, it was literally just one very small room with a full size bed and a pull out couch and there was no way our family of five (with three kids, one of them 2) was going to fit comfortably in there. They were able to move us to a slightly bigger cottage with two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed, and the other with two full size beds but they charged us several hundred dollars more for the switch. They heavily advertised a heated pool but it wasn’t open/heated until the last day of our stay, which was very disappointing for the kids. There were also ants in the cottage and the towel exchange often opened late. On the plus side, the property was very conveniently located in Cavendish, the beds and linens were comfy, and the TV and kitchen worked well enough. There were also bunnies hopping around in the mornings and evenings outside, which was cute. All in all, I was not very impressed and especially didn’t like the upcharge to actually fit our whole family in a cottage as there was no way our family could fit into the first one.
