The seivicec is wonderful. And breakfast is nice

We checked in after a mixup with another hotel, we were staying in Halifax for my girlfriends birthday. Our room smelled really bad. The pool was not opened and we were not made aware until after our reservation. The bar was closed with no bartender the whole day. There were 2 bottles of water in the room that had a charge for "non members" like are you kidding me? Breakfast was another fee, basically after paying a ridiculous amount of money there were fees for everything. The customer service was basically nonexistent for anyone who wasn't a member. Our basic king bed room was completely overpriced for what was provided. This "luxurious" hotel completely lacked any simple luxury we were hoping for. Without sounding too dramatic, this hotel disappointed us in every way. The Hollis Halifax a DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel is an absolute disgrace.

Staff were great! Everything was great! My tiny little pet peeve, for a nice spacious room, there’s very little surface area to set things and organize, an extra night stand would help. And, for Nova Scotia weather, a couple of coat and hat hooks would be great. That’s a quick fix. So please, do it for all your future guests. Hanging coats, hats, and scarfs, on six hangers is just not feasible. And another tip, update the lobby printer so one can easily share a file and print. Not having to log in to a personal or work email account. Other than that, loved the stay. First time in Nova Scotia. Great base to see Halifax, and the south shore sights, e.g., Peggy’s Cove, Mahone Bay, etc..

Everything was unique especially the automated system. Enjoyed the spa. We had some difficulty using the living room tv. Could not find local channels. Everything was LG channels. Otherwise the location, decor and amenities was extraordinary. We will tell our friends about this wonderful place.
