The staff was always helpful and willing to go above and beyond. The Dive Bar not only has great food, but offers a wonderful view of the St Clair River for fun freighter watching. They did a wonderful job renovating this hotel while keeping a charming historic feel. I'll be back.

Wonderful place on the St Clair river, boardwalk. Rooms were decorated very nicely, had a nice nights sleep after sitting on the patio in the evening watching the ships. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautuful Inn. Seemed to be understaffed but tge staff that were there were very friendly. Restaurant stopped serving alcohol at 6pm just when we wanted to sit on the deck and enjoy an evening cocktail. Many areas seemed to be underutilized for the beautiful property. Room was perfect. Pool and jacuzzi area were very nice as well. Wished the snack bar was open.

Unique property with gorgeous river views throughout. Friendly staff and nice amenities. Rooms are wonderful. With a little more modernization to the historic parts of bldg, this hotel would be outstanding!

The gal at the front checking us in was completely unengaged from her job. Non talkative. And not welcoming at all. We love the st Clair inn it’s beautiful!!!!!! so we didn’t let that wreck our time.

The hotel was well situated, but the parking was lacking. Very small parking lot and some parking on the street. Overflow parking was across the street. Accessibility is an issue for older folks. A lot of stair climbing. Definitely a dated hotel, but an excellent location. I can say I’ve been there now, but I wouldn’t return due to the lack of accessibility

We checked in late Wednesday night and woke up to construction on the floor above us, we were in room 203, at 6:30 Friday morning. They were dragging equipment across the floor above us. My husband went to the front desk and they claimed to know nothing about it that was totally unbelievable that that would happen so early on a Friday morning. We were notified that there would be two weddings there on Friday and Saturday night, which was just underneath our balcony, but at least we had warning on it. Parking was terrible, which I’m sure had to do with the weddings. The property is absolutely stunning and I would definitely stay there again.

We wrote a scathing review! Left early due to poor experience there! Will never stay there again! Not enough parking and they treated the wedding parties better than the guests staying there! Old blinds fell and light was in room. Couldn’t change because we had no privacy. Ba tv rooms were too small to change. The Dive food took over an hour to serve four dinners. Fish, two hamburgers and a steak. The dessert came before appetizer. My husband dinner came next. then the appetizer. An hour later our food came. Coffee is taken when you need it. I would not recommend this place.

Been going there for our amnesty for 47 yrs - my husband passed a couple years ago but I’ve carried on the tradition as my yearly retreat - though I fear I won’t be able to because of the outrageous price increases The pool was closed which was a disappointment and the new restaurant is not pleasing with the modern design nor menu The staff couldn’t have been better!
