The property was as described, clean and comfortable with lots of suggestions from the owner Bob for places to visit and things to do.

Quaint house but lacking the necessities.
Got in late and house was not properly cleaned and had no toilet paper. Previous tenants towels on the bathroom floor and no sheets on the beds. Quaint little village but no store to get anything like toilet paper. From this trip we learned to always keep some tp with us..

Beautiful old house in a peaceful rural village.
Lovely old stone house, brimming with character. Tastefully decorated in keeping with its age. Situated next to a church and with large supermarket less than 5 minutes in the car. Large garden overlooking the countryside at the rear. Satellite TV was great in the evenings when we returned from our days out. Friendly hosts gave us lots of useful information about the area. Thanks to Bob, his wife and Eddie. We had a great time. Only wish our stay was longer!

A perfect retreat
We had the best stay we could have hoped for. If you’re looking for an original French country retreat, a base to explore Normandy, quiet evenings and soundless sleep, this is the place for you. It’s genuine, French rural living at its most authentic. Unspoiled, charming and immensely pleasurable. No shops but a supermarket less than five minutes drive away and, if needed, the friendly help and guidance of the owners neighbour, Eddie, just over the road. Highly recommended.

Relaxing and peaceful, great location.
Lovely, authentic property done up to a high standard. Perfect location for discovering north and south, with lots of attractions to visit. Very peaceful, only a short drive to the nearest supermarket. Communication with Bob was exceptional. Very forthcoming with suggestions and in replying to messages. Eddy who welcomed us on arrival was very friendly. Unfortunately, due to quarantine rules being placed whilst we were on day 3, we had to return to the UK, however would happily rebook this property again.

Peaceful farmhouse experience in Normandy
We had a wonderful 4 night stay here, in what seemed like paradise to us. We were blessed with perfect weather, in early September. The fields around the farmhouse were serene and beautiful. We walked miles of trails around the farm. We drove kilometers of back country roads in the gorgeous Normandy countryside. Total peace and quiet. We visited the spectacular Chateau de Carrouges and several other charming villages. Plenty of shops just 3km away in Pré-en-Pail. If you are looking for a peaceful country retreat, this is it. It includes three large bedrooms. The bathroom has a lovely clawfoot bathtub. The living room is quite comfortable, but we spent most of our time sitting outdoors. The caretaker, Eddy, lives next door and he was super helpful. He gave us some great recommendations, as did the owner. We had a great stay at this farmhouse, and wish we had stayed longer. Next time we will!

Good location, nice property. Could do with a little more by way of cutlery and crockery but a very minor issue. We would book it again.

A beautiful house with everything we needed.
This restored farmhouse has traditional charm but all the mod cons you could possibly need. We only stayed one night but would have been very comfortable for much longer. Bob’s communication was great from the start and he was very welcoming when we arrived. The beds were comfortable, the shower was strong and hot, our greyhound made use of the field for a good runaround and we enjoyed an evening of games after delicious pizzas from a nearby restaurant that Bob recommended. The accommodation was also very reasonable, a real gem.
