"Lovely place to stay, great host, very welcoming and shared lots of great information about Puerto Jimenez. We stay 3 nights, doing the 2 day tour of Sirena so one night we were away but a safe place to leave the car and belongings.
The pool was very welcome on our return.
Breakfast can be found in an excellent bakery just around the corner that opens at 4am so you can grab before you depart for Corcovado on the 6am ferry.
If you stay in PJ, the this is the place to stay "

"Great experience ! Gluten free delicious food, fresh from local farmers,water filtered and UV sterilized, we fished and cook prepared fish for us,owners have exceptional customer service, staff courteous and very prompt and note, secluded beach, long walks, felt like our private beach. All in all a 5 star experience .
However : access not very easy and completely remote ( 5 miles from Puerto Jimenez), for us it was ideal since we wish to avoid crowds and mainstay touristic avenues.
Shall revisit !!!"

"There is no way this is 3.5 star and it is very expensive for a small motel room.
Cold water shower (despite it working for a couple of seconds)
Owner has a pack of dogs that bark all the time - they locked them in when I complained but were out barking again at 6am
It says it is inclusive of breakfast but they didn’t provide it and said it was a mistake
So really poor but the little restaurants nearby were great and I probably had the best meal so far, it’s also a great place for spotting parrots and toucans "

"Our stay was nothing short of amazing. Michael was a very quality host who answered all our questions and made us feel at home, but was not too intrusive on our stay. He was perfect. Now the home itself....not many words can truly describe it. Being an open-air home in the jungle was such an amazing experience. It immerses you into the jungle. You get to experience sites and sounds found in very few other places on the planet. Yes, there were things to get used to (no AC, bugs, critters, sounds, etc.) but those are the things that make it feel authentically jungle. We found our sleep schedules change in a natural way and as a result we felt more refreshed each and every morning. I've never enjoyed a 5am morning coffee more than in this house watching toucans, macaws and other birds fly about and listening to howler monkeys in the distance. We wouldn't have wanted it any other way!"
