I stayed at Melia with my best friend for our spring break. Immediately when we arrived to check in we were welcomed so graciously by the staff at the front desk. We were overwhelmed by how welcoming and kind the staff was during the entirety of our stay, and it was the best service we both have ever had at a resort. Check in took no more than 10 minutes, was not crowded, and we were taken to our room on a trolley (the property is very large and trolley rides run every 15 minutes) and someone handled our bags for us. The rooms are open villa style with about 10 private rooms to a villa. The property was gorgeous and spotless and very tranquil. There are activities at night like dancing and music near the lobby if you want to have some fun instead of just relax, but the choice is yours, and the property is large so its never too loud. The beach was gorgeous with minimal seaweed, but quite a bit washed up on our very last day. We swam in the ocean everyday and the water was gorgeous. They hire people to clean up the seaweed everyday. In regards to the food, I'd rate it at about a 6/10. Not terrible, but it is the only thing lacking at this resort. We liked the buffet breakfast every morning as fresh fruit, mimosas, salad, crepes, omelettes, and cheeses were served, in addition to many other things. The Vietnamese restaurant, Muoi, was my personal favorite, with yummy pho and noodles. Stay away from the seafood restaurant next to Serendipia, the food was borderline inedible.
