"The host was friendly and gracious. The house is a bit better than the photos. If you have problems climbing stairs though, that will be an issue because they're a bit steep, but for location you can't beat this place! It's literally 100 feet from the beach, and you can hear the waves from the bedroom. There's no better location anywhere."

"This was our second time staying at Villa Toucan. We love the place. It has more wildlife than anywhere else we've been in Costa Rica. Oropendolas, Macaws, Toucans, and Bat Falcons all nesting right in view of the outdoor kitchen. This place also has a large concentration of snakes, spiders, and beautiful Poison Dart Frogs. It's in your face wilderness! The house is tucked up into Manzanillo National Park with a nice walk to one of the prettiest beaches we've seen. We will return again!"

"This was a perfect spot for my wife and I to explore the Puerto Viejo / Manzanillo area. The home had everything we needed - stocked kitchen, AC and fan, nice water pressure, comfortable bed and an patio. It is steps from the beach - can't beat the location. "Beautiful Caribbean style property across the street from the beach. The master bedroom bungalow and upstairs bedrooms have AC and we had no issues with the bedroom without as it stayed cool with the provided fans. Property has all the basic amenities and is very comfortable. Easy drive to Playa Cocles and Puerto Viejo for groceries etc. I would definitely recommend!"
