Hard to find actual opening times/days of ?rooftop bar and ?restaurant and locations of both. The "back" entrance was initially off putting but once you got used to the idea it was OK.

Nice clean rooms and comfortable beds. This hotel is rated 5 stars presumably because of the amenities. But a bit too modern for my taste. Light switches were like playing musical chairs. Didn't feel that the wood floors were very clean as well as the black bathroom floors...I wiped up some water off the floor and the paper towel was very dirty. One of the beds was against the bathroom wall that slides....you had the slide the semi-translucent door open from the bathroom in order to reach the thermostat! Yes, you can slide the door open and the see the person brushing their teeth while you're in bed! There's another sliding door for the toilet and shower....only one person gets to use the door....it either closes in front of the toilet or in front of the shower. With all these sliding doors surrounding the bathroom....you hear everything between the bathroom & beds. We paid for $70 per day valet parking. Think they must have have the engine running the whole time because our mileage rating went from 15 to 5 and we never drove the car anywhere after valet took it. Front desk is very dark. Lobby area scented....not a great smell Have fun arriving in your car and trying to fit your car in a space in front of the hotel. Generally not enough lighting in center of room. I do NOT consider this a 5 star hotel. This is more modern rustic...3 star.

Returned from a concert at Rod Laver Arena to find the bar was closed! Not up to expectations, and I was not the the only one disappointed. I’ve fond memories of quiet after-concert drinks back in the day, but it seems that’s gone. There’s what looks like a shipping container plonked in the forecourt, blocking half of what’s a fairly narrow driveway in the first place. Hinders drop off and pickup for no apparent benefit. Staff were extremely good, but reception at 2 pm was understaffed. Otherwise, a very nice stay in an ideal location.

Great location near China town. Quick check in and check out. Rooms are well equipped with amenities provided. breakfast is such great value and well worth it. this is our go to place when we travel to Melbourne. Highly recommend.
