"At first glance the place seemed a little sketchy since it looks like an old school motel from a horror movie. However, the room was amazing! Beautiful wood flooring, all new renovations extremely nice beds and a perfect use of the space! Awesome experience and would absolutely stay here again! "

"My wife and I stayed Sunday through Friday. The location was perfect for our day trips/hiking/horseback riding to Blackwater Falls State Park; the Albert Falls, Teresa Falls, Douglas Falls hike near Thomas; Dolly Sods Wilderness; Seneca Rocks; and eating in Davis and Canaan Valley. The hotel was very clean and everyone was friendly. We would stay there again."

"Rest Assured cabin in Big Bear Resort was absolutely perfect! We love to mountain bike and the Chris Cowley trail was exactly 1 mile from the cabin. This magnificent trail ended on Camp 70 Road where many of the famous Davis trails start including Hoodoo and Moon Rocks. When we were not out mountain biking, we were enjoying many amenities of the resort including the recently renovated pool and 9 holes of mini golf. The staff at the resort were friendly and helpful. The cabin itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed to make our stay top notch. This is a pet friendly cabin and our 2 dogs enjoyed many walks on the trail around the resort and they enjoyed finding a sunny spot on the porch to rest in the great setting. The host of the property is attentive and communicative. There was not one negative thing about our 5 day stay! We made great memories and truly hope to return again!"

"From the moment we booked until the moment we left our experience was exceptional! The property was exactly as described and more so. The owners are a fantastic couple and the perfect hosts. We took our pup with us and she felt right at home! We had farm fresh eggs and fresh blueberries and strawberries waiting for us upon arrival. They have literally thought of everything! "This was quite possibly the best Vrbo that we've ever stayed in. I contacted the manager twice while we were there, and received immediate responses. The hospitality from the management team was outstanding. The thought put into of every detail, and what a guest would want and need, exceded our expectations. "House was clean and comfortable. E-biking the Blackwater Canyon Trail to Hendricks and back was wonderful, the trail is feet from the house. Nearby Douglas Falls is great. Blackwater Falls State Park is just a few miles away. So many other outdoor activities nearby. We picked this destination because my wife began researching her genealogy a few years ago and found that her mother’s family was deeply embedded in the history of Tucker County. She found a story at the library about an ancestor of hers who was lost for five days crossing Backbone Mountain from Sugar Lands to Thomas. This is the national forest area that is adjacent to Westwood (you can see the wind turbines on backbone mountain from the house). If we return, we’d definitely stay here again."
