Food was very average and the property is alcohol free so couldn’t have a glass of wine with our meal. As soon as we stepped out of our room, we were faced with the endless desert, and the desert was beautiful with large and small sand dunes. I'm sure it was a view that you wouldn't see at a desert hotel close to Dubai city. The hotel tour was also wonderful, and on the heritage tour, the guide gave us detailed information about the homes, food, and lifestyles of people in the Middle East in the past, and we were able to experience some of that. The camel ride and safari were also very satisfying. One thing about the food was that it wasn't to our liking, but we were happy to be able to eat traditional cuisine. The roads were rough around the hotel and villas, but the staff adapted to make sure we got to where we wanted to go in minimum time. Our view from the villa was magnificent and the dunes walkable. The villa was clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was also outstanding--a great selection and an appropriate price. The staff was first-rate.
