Stayed here for a week in January, it has a very convenient location and I found the hotel easily as it was just a short walk from the main train station in Rennes. There are many dining options around the train station and close to the hotel which were very good for breakfast lunch and dinner. The staff was very helpful and even helped to bring the luggage up the stairs to the desk when I arrived. I liked my room. It was cleaned daily and the bathroom looks new and clean. I do not make use of the fitness facility or The Spa, but found it very convenient to walk around the city as it is only 15 minutes from the center of the old town. Very comfortable hotel in Rennes , I would stay again.

Very decent hotel with outstanding staff. Reception (Yasmine and Thierry) and restaurant staff (Victoria) have been very helpful and always try to go the extra mile for their guests.

As an American traveling with his wife and 3 kids, it is always a welcome surprise when the front desk persons speak English and tolerate my attempts at French. They were very kind. They understood and articulated the difficulties of driving in Rennes and so made good recommendations for amenities within walking distance. It is very close to the train station with many food choices. Way nicer than the other hotel we tried in Rennes on the front end of our trip. We were a family of 5 so I did not have time for the spa.

Good hotel with a family in Rennes

Parking should be free for customers! Our kids loved this hotel, pool and hamman was lovely, room amazing but very hot!!! Even with air con. Coffee making facilities in room needs decaff option and real cups. Check in and out was easy and very friendly staff, nice breakfast too! Close to great restaurants!!! Easy to walk to old town.

Ok but not wow

Nicely centrally located - close to the train station and in walking distance from city center. Reception staff not the most friendly, also the breakfast staff looked terribly overworked (seemed like they were understaffed). Rooms decent and functional, no way to regulate temperature in room so taking points off for that - if you are cold no extra blanket to be found. Little fridge and coffee maker, which is good. Spa is decent, the pool and jacuzzi - CAREFUL they make a bath hat mandatory which noone tells you prior to arrival so you are forced to buy a 3 Euro super ugly overprices bath hat. AND you can only use the spa for 1h per day and have to book in advance at reception. So not sure it really is worth the extra money for a hour of hot water. Breakfast was soso...the coffee maker/machine is good, the rest looked a little like minimalistic effort. But it works, if the staff was not so clearly stressed out. USB charger was broken in my room. All in all it felt like overpriced for what it was and not to what I am used to for Novotel standards.
