Madrid, the country's capital, is located 220 miles (354 kilometers) north of Ribera Baja, while Seville lies 40 miles (64 kilometers) to the west.
Ribera Baja isn't the only place in this popular region worth seeing; visitors can also take a day trip or two to experience the unique qualities of the surrounding landscapes, cities and towns. St. Matthew the Apostle Parish and Red Park which you can find in and around Lucena, are interesting places to visit. Lucena, is 17 miles (27 kilometers) from Ribera Baja. Another idea is to go to Ecija. It's approximately 18 miles (29 kilometers) from Ribera Baja and is home to the Santa Maria Church and Ecija Plaza de Espana.
Around 30 miles (48 kilometers) to the southeast of Ribera Baja is Antequera, a regional center where you'll find El Romeral, Plaza de San Sebastian and El Torcal National Park. Ensure you don't head back to Ribera Baja until you've investigated Antequera's Antequera Trinity Church, Antequera Castle and Menga Cave.
