Río Plátano Biosphere Reserve Tours

We stayed for four nights in September. At check-in, we didn’t get very much information as far as the cards that we are supposed to exchange for towels, nightly activities, and details about our all-inclusive meals. I don’t recommend going with the all-inclusive meals at this hotel. The food was… Edible? That’s about the only good thing I could say about the food. My husband got sick after eating the buffet the first night. We stayed with seafood foods after that and then gave up and ate out the last two days. I will say that the lady making the lattes did an amazing job. Our room was tiny and only had a bed and one chair to sit on. The TV wasn’t working at first, and we later had trouble with our AC and our toilet. On the positive side the location is great and the beach there is beautiful. It’s a short walk down to a beautiful reef in front of infinity resort. Security keeps a lot of vendors at a distance. Cruise days are very crowded because they offer a day pass to cruise families.

Beautiful villa stay in Roatan — we’d come back We stayed in a beautiful villa in Roatan and loved the setting from the moment we arrived. Having the pool right outside the door and an ocean view made every morning and evening feel special. It’s the kind of place you actually use, not just photograph. Staff were very accommodating throughout the stay and made things easy. The on-site dive operation was a huge plus — super convenient not to have to leave the property. The dive masters and captains were wonderful: professional, friendly, and clearly know these waters. The gym was another highlight. We loved how close it was and how well it was equipped. Easy to stay consistent without disrupting the rest of the trip. The restaurant is expensive, so we were more selective there and mixed in other options. That was the only real drawback. Overall it was an easy, well-run stay with the views, pool, diving, and gym all working in our favor. We would definitely come back.
