"Well appointed gite in a very quiet hamlet very close to Azay-Le-Rideau. The gite has been well renovated, has a large garden and is very weĺl equipped. The hosts were charming and helpful and although they lived next door, were very unobtrusive yet always available for advice/help. Would be very happy to come back again."

"Lovely gite really good , a lovely quiet place to stay . Bertrand our host was very welcoming even showing us the caves in the garden. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t very good we had a lot of rain , but we still enjoyed our stay."

"A very spacious property both inside and out. Very well equipped, and appearing to be further developed. Very good kitchen, bbq and outside areas and a rather quirky inside layout. Lots of space for families with children. We had an issue at one point and the owners, who are charming people, were very quick to respond and to try and sort things out. The pool, of course, is excellent, particularly as we had extremely hot weather."

"This guest house is on a beautiful property. The guest house has plenty of space - 2 primary floors and a loft. There is a beautiful outdoor area and the pool can be used by guests. The owners and property manager are all extremely kind, hospitable and welcoming. The owners actually provided a bottle of bubbles as a welcome gift! Finally, the location is really convenient - 2 km from Villandry, less than 1 km to the main part of Savonnieres and within a 10 minute drive to the highway. Overall,...

"I must say that our stay at The Sonnay Castle Lodge was superb. The Lodge is stunningly designed with amazing facilities and the host is incredibly present with nothing being too much. "Good value 1 night stopover. Is it the nicest looking, most luxurious hotel we’ve ever stayed in? Of course not, but it delivers perfectly on what it is, value, clean, secure, great service, comfortable bed, quiet, good parking, well placed. It was right next door to a very good Brasserie where we had an excellent meal. So 10/10 from us. "
