"I had not been since the upgrades the other year (maybe a few years ago?). What a difference! It was nice place to stay before but now it is very vibrant and fun with more food options, games, and larger, renovated hotel rooms."

"This is a late-1800s property in a convenient in-town location. Some deferred maintenance was seen, but it was very serviceable. Rooms were clean & good sized, but our bathroom shower was TINY. Lots of public areas to relax & enjoy the views. Owner was very helpful with recommendations for area restaurants & things to see/do. Breakfast was great, with a good mix of hot & cold items. Owner even insisted on giving us a "to-go bag" as we were leaving before breakfast started."

"Very quiet and old school hotel. Townsend is where we stay when we ride down to eastern Tennessee. Close enough to everything but far enough away from the tourist areas. The only complaint I have of my room was there wasn’t a fridge or microwave. But the bed was comfortable and the view was great. The bathroom was small and the shower is tiny. But it was overall a very nice hotel."

"We had a suite with 2 bedrooms and a living room. It was easy to check in and conveniently located close to Cades Cove. Riverside Restaurant was close by as well and had an excellent breakfast. We will definitely come back! Thank you!"

"This place was heaven on earth. We wanted to escape the noise and light pollution and this was the perfect place. The cleanliness was top notch and that says a lot coming from this ex OCD professional cleaner. The river and wildlife added to the relaxation. Bob was very quick and responsive from start to finish. Although there were plenty of restaurants, we didn't eat out a single time. We cooked all, meals at the house and enjoyed the chance to reset. The house was stocked with everything we needed. The deer and bird food was a great added extra. We will definitely be back. I cant say enough good things about this rental."
