“We had a very relaxing 4 day break in this beautiful stone cottage, a mile off the main road near Hadrians Wall, on a farm that practices environmental care and organic stewardship under the Green Tourism Business scheme. “Two retired couples, we have just had an excellent stay at Sawmill. “What a find! This was the perfect place to tick Hadrian’s Wall off our Australian family’s bucket list. The fairly remote setting gave us peace and wild skies. “Wonderful cabin, beautifully decorated, clean and well equipped, with hot tub regularly maintained. Just the perfect size for what we needed, with the bonus of three rooms meaning personal space for the kids. Highly recommended. Absolutely loved our short (two night) stay. Only downside was the proximity to other cabins in relation to unfortunate events on night one. Second night was perfect after dark, with everyone on site respectful and quiet after 11pm, but our first night was ruined by one……
