“Beautifully renovated historic building with beautiful garden and a top-notch restaurant. The new lift is especially good, saving us the effort to wrestle luggages up the steep stairs typically of older Dutch buildings. Quiet surroundings at the historic city center. Very nice and helpful staff. Oh, and the breakfast is well worth the money. Everything is tasty.”

“Though, a little away from downtown’s historic district, we enjoyed a very pleasant stay. There is a casino and a movie theatre adjacent to the lobby. Cafe and restaurant as well. There is a pond with a nice walkway around it. Playground for kids behind that pond. If you have a dog you will enjoy the area. Big breakfast buffet worth every penny and free parking not to forget.”

“The room is well-renovated and clean. Nearby environment is beautiful and quite. However, the transportation is too inconvenient. It requires almost an hour to go to the hotel from Amsterdam Central.”

“massive problem at check in as i was not informed about the access code. as i was checking in at night it created unwanted additional costs. the place is good, the room was spot on, the breakfast was good. The the area in even better. ”

“I stayed here for a conference so the location was excellent. My booking stated deluxe room but it was just a large room; I thought breakfast was included but it wasn't. The mattress was saggy and the lighting was awful - tiny bedside lights or dim overhead lights - no table lamp for working. The bathroom was so dark it was very difficult to apply or remove makeup - better lighting is essential. It was also noisy late at night on the street frontage sides of the hotel. “Very quaint and historic property in the heart of Monnickedam. The room was lovely. Old world with modern fixtures. Just FYI, no elevator so request ground floor if you need to. I enjoyed my stay very much. The staff was very nice and helpful. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. Short walk to the bus that can take you to Volendam or Amsterdam within 20 minutes”
