Beautiful property, very well maintained. Conveniently located near a few restaurants and bars and a train station. The property was less quiet than we anticipated from the pictures due to proximity of train and distant roads, but it did not impact our stay. We appreciated the access to the terrace.

This was our 3rd stay and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. They have more staff now than in prior years and nothing was left undone. They are very attentive, they make you feel as if you’re their only guest. They accommodate your every need and check in during your stay. They also offered bonus gifts upon arrival, during our stay and upon leaving. We stayed in Barone for the 2nd time. 2 equipped bathrooms, 1 private bedroom and a loft as well as living room, dining area, breakfast nook and a fully equipped kitchen. The beds are super comfortable, the apartment is clean and it has laundry as well with everything provided to live very comfortably. I cannot recommend this accommodation enough. They even have on site parking and the train station is right down the road. We will always make this our go to place to stay when near Rome. Can’t wait to return!

Gorgeous property and impeccable accommodations! Our family loved our stay at this 11th century renovated castle! The manager was friendly, exceptionally kind and helpful! Clean apartment with very comfortable beds. We wished we had stayed longer! We will visit again! Highly recommend!

Fantastic location

Very generous size rooms. I just wish they had 2 bathrooms for the size of the apartment. V convenient location if you plan to visit Rome by car. Great / friendly staff who is there to help and answer questions. 1300-1400 year old castle converted to a hotel makes you go back in time.

Great family holiday

A brilliant stay here. Beautiful 11th century accommodation with a pool. We were very well looked after by Nadia, everything went to plan. The apartments were very spacious and the bed’s very comfortable. We had two apartments for our family of seven and enjoyed a few home cooked meals together in the cool AC. We arrived by taxi but did use the train and metro system travelling into Rome. An easy commute for about €4 per person. We would get a taxi back in the evening, a 25 minute drive costing €30/35 for 4 people. A handy supermarket 650m away had all our requirements. I would recommend Castello del Duca as a great holiday spot when visiting Rome.

It was a perfect place to stay after jet lag. We walked into town and found a lovely cafe and Pharmacy in a 8 minute walk. The two beds were large and comfortable. Had to turn the water on under the kitchen sink for the washing machine to start(a great convenience as soap was provided)

I didn’t know what to expect but based on others reviews, thought this would be a better experience than staying in a traditional hotel for our last night in Rome vs staying at a airport hotel. Wow… it was amazing. Beautiful deluxe suite for our family, all the amenities of what you would expect in an apartment (kitchen, AC, sitting area, multiple bedrooms with comfy beds) along with 2 outdoor patios. There is a shared outdoor pool with a fantastic view of the property and olive trees line the property to go walking around. The property offered to buy me groceries (at cost, no mark up) and stock up our kitchen before arriving. It was amazing to arrive and not have to worry about it. The property is located in a very quaint town that has restaurants to go to if you wish and it is only a 30 mins from the International airport. Quiet, relaxing and beautiful property that feels like a private rental but with the customer service of a hotel. Highly recommend this place for something different. My family loved our stay here. Next time, we will stay longer.

Wir waren 3 Nächte dort, es war sehr ruhig und abgelegen. Man kann mit dem Auto ca.20 min oder aber auch mit dem Zug direkt ins Zentrum von Rom. Unser Appartement war leider etwas zu sehr abseits vom Pool. Selbstversorgung ist angesagt. Es gibt aber ein Lebensmittel Geschäft ca. 5 Autominuten entfernt.

Schöne Unterkunft mit Garten und das Auto ist auch sicher.Bis am Bahnhof nur 12 Min. zu Fuß danach ist man schnell in Rom Zentrum. Wir hatten die Deluxe-Suite voll eingerrichtet. Würde ich wieder buchen.
