The hotel is in an area that's typical around a big railway station, quite noisy and dirty but we expected that based on the price we were paying per night. As long as you're happy to walk long distances then you can reach most of the main sites of Historic Rome on foot.
The hotel doesn't really have many facilities of it's own and relies somewhat on a sister hotel around the corner, for example bar service wasn't available in the evening, we were told to go to the Independent Hotel instead.
The breakfast provided is adequate but not fancy although the restaurant staff were excellent.
The thing that really lets this hotel down is the housekeeping service. Really disappointing to find our room not made up at all on one of the days and toiletries, mini bar, coffee station not replenished on other days.
In spite of making the hotel aware more than once they didn't resolve the matter to our satisfaction and I'd hesitate to recommend the property on that basis.
