They were more than happy to get us information for our stay / things to do / transport…etc. Gabriella was also kind enough to make us home cooked breakfast in the morning at the time of our choosing. The room itself was clean , proper and equipped with everything we needed. Location wise was perfect, we had a view of the old town, especially beautiful at night. “No parking, again it is a Expedia disease, to lie and exaggerate about their listings . Fed up of “only one room left “ No elevator, no receptionist on arrival. Useless if you have a vehicle; are elderly; or disabled. The view from the breakfast room is amazing. No coffee at breakfast , it comes from next door. Location is very good”

“The guesthouse is not accessible by road and we were notified about it 1 day before travel (when we told the owner about it afterwards they said we should have known based on Google Maps and description of it being under the castle, I wonder who would check accessibility for a hotel you plan on staying in?). We first thought we might be able to manage taking our suitcases up, but the distance from road to guesthouse is long and steep and impractical for anyone with large bags. It perhaps works……

“The hotel is very basic. The room lacks soundproofing, which means we hear every outside sound. At breakfast, only the fruit was tasty. The service from the breakfast staff is good. They are attentive and serve you quickly. The advantage of this hotel is its proximity to the Berat bus station.”
